What Happens If It Rains on My Mowing Day?
Your Visit Moves to the Next Dry Day, and We Text You
Rain pushes your visit to the next dry day, and we text you to let you know. A rain delay does not count as a missed window, so the On-Time Guarantee doesn't apply. You don't need to call or rebook. Your crew just comes on the next dry day.
Why crews don't mow in the rain
- Wet grass clumps. It sticks under the mower and leaves heavy clippings on the lawn.
- The cut is ragged. Wet blades bend instead of slicing clean.
- Soft ground ruts. Heavy mowers leave tracks in soaked soil, and clay is the worst.
- It's less safe. Slopes get slippery for the crew.
What about a light drizzle?
A quick shower that dries off by afternoon often doesn't change anything. Your crew makes the call on the day. Either way, you'll know by text.
What if it rains all week?
Wet weeks happen, from the coast to the Maritimes. The grass keeps growing, so the first dry-day cut may take a bit more off. A good crew raises the deck and never takes off more than about a third of the blade at once.

The On-Time Guarantee covers a crew missing your window on a day they could work. Weather isn't their miss. Everything else in the Golden Oak Guarantee still applies, including the Love-It Guarantee on the cut itself.
