Terms of Use

These are the rules for using this site and booking lawn care through Golden Oak. We wrote them in plain words. Please read them before you book.

Who we are

Golden Oak Lawn Care is run by OspreySOL Consulting Inc., a British Columbia company that does business as Osprey Solutions. "We" and "us" mean OspreySOL Consulting Inc. and Golden Oak Lawn Care. "You" means the person using the site or booking service.

What Golden Oak does

Golden Oak is a lawn care network. We match you with a vetted, insured local partner crew in your city. The crew is an independent local business. They do the work at your home. We send your price, handle texts, and stand behind the work with the Golden Oak Guarantee.

We offer lawn maintenance only: lawn mowing, trimming and edging, hedge and shrub trimming, and spring and fall cleanups. We don't offer spraying, sod, irrigation, hardscaping, tree removal or snow removal.

Your price

We measure your lawn from satellite images and text your price. Requests sent from 7am to 8pm get a price within 60 minutes. Later requests get one after 7am.
Your price covers the services and frequency you asked for.
If your yard turns out to be very different from what the images showed, we'll tell you before any extra work. You can say no.
How and when you pay is in your price text, before you book.

The Golden Oak Guarantee

These are the promises that come with every booking, word for word:

Price in 60 minutes. We measure your lawn from satellite images, so no one needs to visit and you don't need to be home. Prices go out by text from 7am to 8pm.
Same crew every visit. One vetted, insured local crew learns your yard and keeps coming back.
Photo proof after every cut. Your crew texts you a photo when the job is done.
On-Time Guarantee. If your crew misses your scheduled window, that cut is free.
Love-It Guarantee. Not happy? Text us a photo within 24 hours. Your crew re-cuts it free within 48 hours.
Season paid up front. Pause for vacations by text. Cancel anytime and we refund half of your unused visits.
Bonus: first cut free when you book the season.

A few details:

Your window is the day and time range you set with your crew when you book.
Rain moves your visit to the next dry day, and we text you. A rain delay is not a missed window.
For the Love-It Guarantee, text us a photo of the problem within 24 hours of the cut.
The free first cut comes with booking The Worry-Free Lawn Season. It doesn't come with a one-time cleanup on its own.

Paying, pausing and cancelling

The season is paid up front. When you book, we keep a card on file. We only charge it once you've been paired with a qualified local crew. You can pause for a vacation by text. If you cancel, we refund half of your unused visits to the card on file. We'll confirm by text.

Your part

Give us a correct address and a mobile number you use.
On your day, give the crew safe access to the lawn: gates unlocked and pets inside.
Tell us about anything the crew should avoid, like a hidden sprinkler head or a soft spot.

Damage and problems

Every partner crew must carry insurance before their first Golden Oak job. If something at your home is damaged during a visit, text us a photo right away. We'll help you reach the crew and their insurer and follow it through. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have by law.

Texts

By sending a form, you agree that we and your matched local crew can text you about your quote and service. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out. Read our privacy policy for how we handle your information.

Using this website

Pictures labelled "Illustration" are not photos of a real customer's yard or a real partner's work.
Local rules on our city and province pages, like grass height or watering days, come from official sources and link to them. Rules change, so check with your city before you rely on them.
Please don't copy the site, send fake form requests or try to break it.

Partners

Local crews who join the network sign a separate partner agreement. If you run a crew, see become a partner.

The law that applies

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. If you live in another province, you keep any rights your own consumer protection laws give you.
